What rugby gear do I need?
I recently joined a rugby club and I'm not sure about what I need. I know that I should get:
*compression shorts
*rugby shorts
*mouthguard
*knee-high socks
*rugby "boots"
Is there anything else I need?
Also, could I buy regular soccer cleats instead of rugby boots?
Thanks for the jockstrap recommendation, but I play for a women's team...
Definitely go with rugby boots over soccer cleats. Also go with the aluminum cleats if allowed. Some leagues shy away from metal cleats. If your playing a forward position you might consider a scrum cap or tape your ears down, they can get roughed up. Give yourself a pat on the back for taking up a great sport!
